Lessons and Consultation Sessions

Serving as the Professor of Violin at the University of Ottawa and having studied the violin intensely for over 20 years at prestigious conservatories across the world such as the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School, and the Verbier Academy, I want to share my knowledge of my extensive experience as a professional touring violinist to help you meet your violin and career goals.

I've received high demand from my followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok, and I'm pleased to offer individual one-to-one violin lesson sessions!

Whether you are an amateur, music-lover, or are serious about pursuing a violin career - I'm here to offer a limited amount of personalized violin lessons at the comfort of your own home.

Each violin lesson session will be personalized but here are the main focuses that I am offering in each individual lesson:

  • development of basic to advanced violin technique skills for overall mastery in the violin
  • coaching and interpretation guidance on classical violin repertoire
  • to learn the art of performance in front of an audience.

For the consultation division, I specialize in:

  • Being a musician of all trades including perspective on which conservatories/schools to apply for to further advance your training.
  • Discussing possible career paths as a violinist/musician.

Space is limited and subject to availability, but always happy to make it work.

Please contact me via e-mail or use the contact form to inquire about an individual session.

Frequently Asked Question:

1.) I want to take a lesson, how do I get in touch?

Fantastic! I'm excited to work with you. Please send me an email with your name either here or via the contact page and please write a few sentences of your current level and goals you want to take away from the one-on-one lesson.

2.) Are these lessons online?

Yes, these lessons will be held online via Zoom or Skype.

3.) I'm not living in North America, can I still take lessons?

Absolutely! We have to figure out the best schedule for both of us because of the time difference, but we will make it work!

4.) Can I take one-time lessons or does this have to be a long term commitment?

You can definitely consult with me for a one time lesson. I'm happy to work around what you're comfortable with.

5.) What is the fee for a lesson?

Please contact me with your information for my rates. I have different rates for one time sessions and multiple sessions.

6.) I already have a teacher, but I want to take a lesson with you, can I do this?

Yes, I am fine with that. I'd strongly advise that you let your teacher know to get his/her approval.

7.) I'm not 18 years old yet, can I still have a session?

Definitely, I love working with ambitious teenagers! I would definitely need your parent or guardian to be involved in the process as they will have to sign an agreement before we start our sessions.

8.) Do you take people who are beginning to learn the violin?

It depends on a case-by-case basis but generally, I won't be able to take requests if you haven't had basic training. It's very hard to do this online, and I'll admit that starting people on the violin is my weakness...

9.) I'd like to do a consultation about career/educational goals as a violinist, can I book a session focused on that rather than actually playing?

Yes, I'd be happy to give my perspective to help with your plans in music studies or even career goals. Contact me with this request and we will find a time to connect.

10.) Can I have a trial lesson?

I offer a discounted 30 min lesson if you would like to have a trial session. Please include this in your inquiry.

11.) How do I pay you?

Thanks for asking! It depends on the country but here are the payment terms:

United States (Venmo)

Canada (Interac E-transfer)

International (Paypal)
