It has been announced today that Timothy Chooi will join the management roster of Colbert Artists, in New York City – for North American management representation.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and current post-graduate student of Catherine Cho at The Juilliard School, Timothy is a major prize winner at the Joseph Joachim and Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competitions.
Colbert will work in collaboration with Solea Artist Management, in Paris – who in September of last year signed the 26-year-old virtuoso to worldwide general management.
Timothy will be represented at Colbert Artists by newly-appointed President, Lee Prinz.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Timothy Chooi to our roster …” Lee has today told The Violin Channel.
“I was able to see him perform the Tchaikovsky Concerto led by Dalia Stasevska at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, in October, and was immediately struck by not only his technical brilliance but the incredible heart he puts into his music-making,” he has said.
Colbert Artists’ roster includes violinists Alina Ibragimova, Anne Akiko Meyers and Anthony Marwood – and the Juilliard, JACK and Heath String Quartets.
